I purchased the plcd23a and for the money it was just ok, I had trouble with the AM radio when i would get close to a radio transmitter, the station I was listening to would pick up the new station and then I could hear neither station.

This product did not fit or come with proper mounting brackets to fit the vehicle ordered for. Even though the ordering process ask for the vehicle information, there was no way to mount this particular radio in the Elantra dash.

When we received the product, my husband had to call the company to get assistance in setting up his radio. The instructions that came with the product were great on installing it, but the set-up instructions (i.e., programming the stations, etc..) were missing and I had to look up the contact numbers for the manufacturer(thank goodness, for the internet). They were able to help him get the radio working. He also says the channels drift and the station he is listening to gets garbled after a time. For the price, however, it will work. He only listens to it a few minutes a day, to and from work. The c.d. player works great! No problems there. However, if you want to listen to the radio for any length of time, you may want to try another product.

I bought this radio because the one in my car completely died. I knew I didn’t want to spend lot of money because my car is really old. I wanted something simple that would play CD’s and radio. Unfortunately this CD player does not have an anti skip device and constantly scratches and skips and pauses while the car is in motion. I don’t understand why any CD player that is going to be inside a moving vehicle would not be equipped to protect the sound quality or integrety of the CD. Im really dissapointed with my purchase. The radio is nothing but static and the sound quality os poor. Overall if you really want something flashy and thats going to give you great sound then I’d say spend the extra money and get something better. If you’re just looking for some soound in your car and are not particular then this one is fine….for the time being.
